SIGNAL BOOST: ROLEPLAY CYBER BULLYING
Look at these messages. Really, I want you to read every single one of them and tell me that exposing this roleplay is wrong.
Hi, my name is Stephanie and I joined Northshore high school two weeks ago. I was so excited to finally find a roleplay that the characters were well made and everyone seemed very friendly. Although that quickly changed a few days ago.
On Thursday night, someone from this roleplay found a OOC chatzy that a few members from this roleplay made, talking shit about the other players. Who ever found it, print screened the convos and posted them on a Tumblr. (You can see them here) Everyone here got a link for the screenshots and a few got the link to the actual chatzy- Including me. I was intrigued and clicked on it, but it was locked.
Now, the admins saw these and made no effort to tell anyone to stop nor did they kick anyone out. Yet, the members in the chatzy, as shown in the pictures said that they hated the roleplay while the other said FUCK EVERYONE! Either way, they didn’t do anything about it. After people saw it, three people left because of how mean and cruel things those people said.
An hour passed and after a lot of OOC post from members, the admins made a OOC chat. I got there like everyone else, then, they told us to change to the another chat on a different site. Confused, I did as everyone else. Turns out, the chatzy showed the last two digits of our i.p address and the admins used it to see try to find who exposed the rp. Here’s the part I don’t understand. Why would you look for whoever sent the link to this chatzy, that everyone have the right to see. Wouldn’t you want to know that they talked shit behind our backs? Anyway, they saw that me and another girl were in there and immediately started pointing fingers. More to me then anyone else. Like I said, I was there and but I didn’t talk to anyone because it was locked!
After that, they didn’t do anything, the admin went offline and we all started roleplay again. That’s when I noticed things starting to be different. No one other than my other friend send me a reply to my starters. Before this whole OOC thing happened I had a lot of people talking to my character. I wasn’t mad that they didn’t want to talk to me, I mean hey, ignore me all you want. You’re the one being immature here. Then I started getting messages and hate on both my characters.
I notified the admins and they told me they couldn’t do anything because they were anons. They didn’t tell anyone to stop, they didn’t warn anyone. Nothing. I shook it off and thought that they would stop but they didn’t.
Tonight, I posted a starter, two people sent me a reply and I was happy. They were new and they didn’t know what had happened last night. I replied, went to eat and that’s when I came back to these messages. Now, normally I would delete them, turn the other cheek and mind my own business but when it comes to death threats, it’s not something I take easy.
If you’re a roleplayer, you might be writing for interest and what not but the majority of people here write to change their ideas. Maybe they have trouble at school, maybe at home but writing and roleplaying is something to change our thoughts. I won’t lie, I’m not ashamed of telling you that I’ve been battling depression since a very young age. I’ve been through a lot, mostly bullying and I did try to commit suicide a number of times. I’m better now and luckily I can talk to people with similar situations who understand me. I’m posting this here for the people who aren’t as lucky as me. For the people who are depressed and trying to change their thoughts. What if you would of sent this to someone who was suicidal, huh? How would you live with yourself if you pushed this person to kill themselves? Words hurt, even if you’re hiding behind a anon account, it hurts. I don’t know if these messages were sent to me by the same person, they were one after the other so I don’t know. I tried tracking the i.p but it didn’t work.
After I got these messages, I went to the admins, told them what had happened and that was the reply I got. “Maybe if you weren’t such a bitch, they would stop.” Are you fucking kidding me? That’s not right, hate is not right. Which is why I want everyone to know about how the admins here work. I want people to be aware that cyber bullying is not okay. I want to prove that this roleplay is full of people hiding behind anons and saying mean things and to give people who are here already and those who join in the future, that this is what you’ll get.
Bullying is not okay you guys. Whether if it’s behind a computer or not. It’s not okay.
Thank you for reading this and I hope that it makes some of you open your eyes at how serious this is.

I don’t understand… Like you can’t do anything with them other than make people mad that they can’t have them. You can’t sell them or blackmail them or whatever. It doesn’t make sense. It’s like taking someone’s monogrammed backpack. What do you plan on doing with it?
